Important Dates

Monday, February 25th: Joust Entry Form

Deadline: By 11:59 p.m. at cei@ucf.edu

The entry from must be filled out completely and must include a 2-page executive summary and 12 slide PowerPoint deck.

Tuesday, February 26th: Joust Semi-Finalists are announced

Thursday, February 28th: Joust Orientation for Semi-Finalists

Semi-Finalists are required to attend an orientation with Dr. Ford.

Monday, March 18th: Enhanced Executive Summary Due

Deadline: By 11:59 p.m. at cei@ucf.edu

An enhanced executive summary is limited to 5 pages, 12-pt Times New Roman font. An enhanced 12 slide PowerPoint deck must be included.

Friday, March 22nd: Joust Semi-Finals Competition & Reception
(Closed to Public)

Location: Fairwinds Alumni Center

Contestant & Judge Check-in: 1:00 p.m.

Presentations: 2:00 – 4:15 p.m

Reception to follow: 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.

Semi-Finalists present their plans to the judging panels and compete to make it to the final round. A reception for all participants, judges and invited guests will follow. Refreshments will be served and finalists will be announced.

Wednesday, March 20th @ 4:00pm: Joust Finals Orientation

Finalists are required to attend an orientation with Dr. Ford.

Monday, April 2nd: Business Plan Deadline (Finalists Only)

Deadline: By 11:59 p.m. at cei@ucf.edu

Friday, April 12th: Business Plan Tournament & Awards Ceremony
(Open to Public)

Location: Fairwinds Alumni Center

Contestant & Judge Check-in: 1:00 p.m.

Presentations: 1:30 – 4:00 p.m

Reception to follow: 4:15 – 5:15 p.m.

The final four contestants present their business ideas one last time for the public and the finals judges. Contest winners are announced at the awards ceremony that follows.
